We are looking for an experience Projects Director
to join our exciting programme in Malawi. Banja La Mtsogolo (BLM) is a
Malawi-based results-oriented social business and non-profit organisation,
established in 1987, which uses modern management and marketing techniques to
provide family planning, sexual and reproductive health care and allied health
services. BLM is part of Marie Stopes International (MSI)’s Global Partnership
which operates in over 40 countries providing over 5 million services worldwide
annually.
Day-to-day you will be responsible for the design, implementation, evaluation and analysis of project activities throughout the programme. As a member of the executive management team (EMT), you will contribute to the shaping and fulfilment of BLM’s strategic direction. The Director will work collaboratively with other EMT members to ensure operational synergies are optimized through cross-functional working. They will also work closely with the EMT to build and maintain excellent donor and stakeholder relations, including the development of new business for BLM. The Director will oversee a department, with direct line management of Innovation and Best Practice; Social Franchising; Social Marketing; and other programmatic functions.
To be considered for the position you will have:
- Extensive field level NGO experience, ideally in healthcare programming
- A depth of experience managing do not funded project cycles including technical and financial components
- Proven track record of people management and leadership skills
- Extensive experience participating and /or leading proposal development processes including project design, management design and budget development
- Knowledge of USAID, DFID and other donor reporting requirements
